Once again, Crest Nicholson has selected PROFLOOR Acoustic Systems for installation at their prestigious dockside development at Port Marine, Portishead. This development is one of the largest mixed use property developments in the South West of England.
The A. Proctor Group supplied 5000 square metres of their Profloor Dynamic Deck 26 as the floating floor treatment to the separating floors. In addition to this, Profloor Levelling System was also used in the first floor due to unevenness of the sub-floor.
Profloor Dynamic Deck 26 comprises a unique resilient layer bonded to flooring grade tongue and groove chipboard. It provides a high degree of isolation resulting in significant improvements in impact sound insulation and also meets the requirements of Robust Details FFT5 constructions.
Profloor Levelling System allows a level finished floor to be installed on a cambered, stepped or uneven sub-floor. Robust Detail constructions can still benefit from a levelling system that provides the final level and takes out any irregularities, particularly in a mortar screed surface.
For any building to have an energy efficient, healthy, moisture free building envelope there is a clear need to manage the balance of Heat, Air and Moisture movement (HAMM) throughout the building’s life cycle from design, construction, completion and use.
