Wraptite System- Kingswells, Aberdeen

The Wraptite system supplied by the A. Proctor Group, has been installed to provide an effective vapour permeable rainscreen underlay for the new Aberdeen headquarters of an international oil company.

The office building is located within the state of the art Prime Four business park in the Kingswells area of the city, which houses the premier operating venues for several international oil companies and their service providers. Sir Robert McAlpine are the main contractor for the project with Halliday Fraser Munro Architects.

The Wraptite System was installed by Edinburgh based façade specialist Charles Henshaw & Sons who have successfully completed numerous prestigious curtain wall and facade contracts throughout the UK. The building envelope specialists have established a reputation as one of the leading companies in the sector.

Wraptite is a low-resistance vapour permeable air barrier wall underlay which is durable, flexible and lightweight, allowing for easy installation. The system comprises Wraptite plus Wraptite Tape which is applied around joints, openings and penetrations to complete a total air tightness solution. The system provides a simple and robust method of achieving low air leakage rates, and is particularly effective when installed in situ as is typical with large scale rainscreen construction.
