Exposure Time
Where the fabric is applied on site the fabric should be covered with the primary facade / masonry leaf within 7 weeks. In instances where it is not possible to apply the primary facade within this maximum time, adequate measures should be taken to protect the fabric. When applying fabric to prefabricated panels consideration should be given to exposure of the Reflectashield during storage and transportation, prior to installation of the panel on the building. Panels should be covered and protected prior to installation of the primary facade. The exposed panel should be covered with the primary facade / masonry leaf within 7 weeks. This period may be reduced if this product is not adequately covered and protected during storage and transportation. Consideration should be given to other factors that can accelerate oxidation, such as salt water, which can also reduce the acceptable period of total exposure. It is good practice to keep the total exposure to a minimum Over exposure of this technical membrane could lead to a reduction its reflectance and/or appearance.
