A former public house in Islington, London has been refurbished to form a new flatted development. The project utilised APGs Profloor Levelling System from our Acoustic range to level the floors.Profloor Levelling was chosen by M P Brothers, who were impressed not only by the Levelling System but also the additional service provided by the A. Proctor Group with our technical advice and site visits.
M P Brothers found the Profloor Levelling System to be a quick and cost effective alternative to the use of an acoustic underscreed layer. The use of an acoustic underscreed layer along with a wet screed can cause delays on site due to the drying out times, or in some cases, the appropriate time for the drying out not being observed. This can lead to moisture issues affecting subsequent follow on materials and trades.
Profloor Levelling System meets the requirements of Robust Details and is FFT2 compliant. Once installed the floor can be walked on immediately allowing follow on trades to start work quickly. It is easily assembled on site without expensive plant.
For any building to have an energy efficient, healthy, moisture free building envelope there is a clear need to manage the balance of Heat, Air and Moisture movement (HAMM) throughout the building’s life cycle from design, construction, completion and use.
