The display shows Roofshield – a unique vapour and air permeable pitched roof underlay which allows vapour to escape – but also allows air in – reducing the risk of condensation. The BBA have stated in the Roofshield certificate that no VCL is required (different from other membranes) and the NHBC believe that no ridge ventilation is required. Also in this area we are displaying an innovative insulation that recycles lost heat! Jablite Dynamic Frame is a revolutionary insulation for timber walls that converts the building envelope into a heat exchanger. Ventilation air entering the property is pre-warmed by heat that would otherwise have escaped from the building. It can gain U-Values as low as 0.1-0.18 in a 140 stud and is Code 4 complaint for social housing.
Silverwood painted timber cladding is a product new to the A. Proctor Group’s range – this there is not space to display all colours and profiles available. This product comes with a 10 year AXA under-written guarantee on the finish and it is Tongue & Grooved on all 4 sides for ease of installation. It is manufactured from Norwegian Spruce which has been treated to be durable for up to 50 years.
Recently the Big green Home Show took place at this venue and we were privileged to be involved. We held two seminars – firstly regarding ‘Condensation in the Roofspace’ and secondly ‘Jablite Dynamic Frame technologies’. The presentations are available on request.
