 The subject of Climate change is very topical with the government striving to reduce the energy used in buildings through ever tightening of Building regulations. The construction industry is sometimes slow to adopt change and can be conservative due to experiences of failed “new” products being introduced into the market without robust testing being done.

 

The need to save energy is in everyone’s interest and this has led to many new developments including renewable energy, in the form of solar panels, PV, geothermal etc. along with new insulations such as Aerogels, multifoils, vacuum panels etc.

 

One particularly interesting new insulation system offers a lot of advantages and appears to solve a lot of the conundrums that the industry has been wrestling with for many years-
