Eco Barn Conversion - Roofshield

The A. Proctor Group recently donated 4 rolls of their high specification, pitched roof underlay, Roofshield to an Eco Barn project for Burton Roofing Merchants.

Jennifer Horsley, a director of the company, embarked upon a barn conversion which incorporated many innovative products. The original Granary character has been retained whilst also using the latest technology materials on this eco renovation.

As a stockist / supplier of Roofshield, this was the membrane of choice.  Roofshield is a unique product, in that not only does it have superior vapour permeability, but it is also air permeable, which further reduces any risk of condensation occurring.

Roofshield is covered by two BBA certificates which covers both warm roof and cold roof applications without the requirement to ventilate the roofspace.  Our BBA also states that a separate vapour control layer is not required at ceiling level.

Roofshield is one of a range of construction membranes available from the A. Proctor Group, which includes Reflectashield, a reflective breathable membrane for timber frame applications and Reflectatherm Foil, a reflective vapour control layer.
