ProctorPave Gravel was recently installed in Mollington village, Oxfordshire.
ProctorPave is distributed by the A. Proctor Group, and is available in both Gravel and Grass versions.
The access route to a local play area had problems with raised tree roots. An independent risk assessment of the play area were concerned that these could become a trip hazard, therefore Oxfordshire County Council were looking for a solution which could provide a suitable walking surface, but would also protect the tree roots from compaction.
ProctorPave Gravel was installed over a bed of sand, with locally sourced ironstone product as the surface material. Councillor Rodney Rose, Oxfordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Transport said, “Safety for vulnerable groups has to be our top priority for getting work done and we are pleased to have been able to respond so fully to the concerns raised by the audit at Mollington. We hope that local residents can now enjoy their community facilities to the full.”
