Acoustic & Vibration Isolation

Introduction

The Proctor Group has been providing innovative solutions to acoustic flooring problems experienced by the construction industry for more than 20 years.

Unrivalled expertise gained through experience in this key area is further enhanced by extensive research and development at our own acoustic laboratory and the close links we have established with acoustic specialists at Napier, Sheffield Hallam and Heriot-Watt universities. This has resulted in a number of unique Profloor product solutions appropriate to the majority of flooring constructions, whether concrete or timber, in both the new build and refurbishment sectors.

Experience has also shown that product development cannot be confined to the laboratory alone. That’s why we place so much emphasis on assessing product performance through rigorous on-site testing as the only realistic way to ensure our products comply with the most stringent requirements of building regulations, taking into consideration critical real-life factors such as flanking transmission and workmanship.

This has provided us with a vast library of thoroughly reliable test results which can be replicated again and again in the field to meet the specific problems posed by different circumstances and conditions. With this huge resource, we can assess any given construction, either on-site or supplied to us remotely (mail, fax or e-mail). AutoCAD drawings can be easily viewed and analysed by our technical team at our Head Office in Blairgowrie, Perthshire.

In this way, specifiers and contractors can have complete confidence in the reliability of Proctor solutions, underpinned by the following:
